GRAVEYARD;

GRAVEYARD

When you open your eyes, your surroundings are unfamiliar.

It's nice and warm - you're inside what looks to be a cozy bar, seated on a barstool. Just within reach is a drink that will appeal to you in some way - either because you really need some booze, or it's just your favorite drink, even if it isn't alcoholic. Regardless of what it is, once you drink it, any aches, pains, or chills you might be feeling from your last moments alive will fade away. Funnily enough, whoever must have prepared it for you is nowhere to be found. There is also a bus ticket with your name on it. Don't lose it!

There is a television at the bar, displaying the lodge that you were residing in up until now. There are also comfortable-looking tables and chairs away from the bar itself, with a tablet at each one that displays a menu of any sort of food or drink you might normally find at a bar. Tap on what you want, and the food will materialize in front of you; not only that, but you will find that unlike the food from the lodge, this actually keeps you full.

Outside the bar, it's very chilly, so be sure to grab some of the coats and gloves on the rack just by the door before you go. There is seating out here, too, with a breathtaking view of the mountains that tower over a collection of well-lit buildings. Immediately opposite the bar's entrance is a bus stop, with a sign detailing the departures. It looks like the previous bus departed on January 1st; the next bus - and the last bus of the season - will depart on January 17th. The next departure after that is not until December.

A little ways away is a stage with a bear statue standing on it. When night falls, live music can be heard here; it sounds as though it is coming from the stage itself, although there are no performers there. The streets are lined with the sorts of shops one might expect in a resort town: bars, restaurants, gift shops, bakeries, ski and snowboarding shops and rentals, and so on. They all appear to be open, although no one appears to be staffing them. There are signs advertising pub crawls, winter hiking trails, snowboarding and ski trips, concerts, and all sorts of other activities you might expect to indulge in on a winter vacation. Further toward the center of town, there's even a frozen lake for skating.

There doesn't seem to be a way back to the lodge you were at before, so you might as well make yourself comfortable. There won't be a bus coming for a while yet, after all. Why not take a break?

OOC NOTES

Hello, and welcome to being dead!

But don't worry, it's not over just yet. Despite your untimely demise, there are still things to do. You won't be leaving this realm just yet - after all, the bus hasn't arrived... but should you explore your surroundings and indulge in some of the winter activities, you may find ways to interact with the living. Who knows? Maybe it will have some impact on how the living will proceed.

Anything happening in the public mingles or trial posts can be seen by the dead via the television in the bar, so feel free to popcorn that. Private conversations, murders, and other things that happen outside of the public eye cannot be witnessed by the dead.

If you have any questions, please feel free to hit up the mods to ask!
