week two: voting
WEEK TWO: VOTING
Hung up along the wall underneath the mounted lights, a row of stockings await, each bearing the name of someone aboard the gondola. On a table below them sits a pile of coal.
You all have until the end of the trial to place a lump of coal into whichever stocking you choose. Those around you will not be able to identify which stocking you fill no matter how closely they look.
HOW TO VOTE:
Welcome to your voting page! Each week before the trial ends, characters must place coal inside two separate stockings.
First, they must vote for who they think made the naughty list. For many characters, this will mean voting for the person they believe to be the culprit, but if your character would vote for someone they don't believe to be guilty for some other reason, they are welcome to do so.
Second, they must vote for the person who they believe should be tasked with punishing the culprit. However, characters cannot vote for themselves as executioner. Once the votes are all in, we will contact whoever has the most votes oocly; if they will not be available to perform the execution, we will move on to the character with the second-highest number of votes and so on. If no one who received a vote is available, we will RNG it and check for availability from there.
OOCly, you are allowed to change your vote up until the trial ends. ICly, the stockings are available for the entirety of the trial allowing coal to be moved, so only your final vote will be considered game canon.
Placeholder votes are fine! If you have to step away, feel free to submit an early vote based on how the trial is going at that time you leave. This will ensure you are not idled out if you don't make it back before the trial ends.
